The soundtrack for 'Steve + Sky' was entrusted to Stephen + David Dewaele en Stefaan Van Leuven (aka 2 Many DJ's, Soulwax) .

The soundtrack was mostly compiled and consists of old and new material by artists from the Benelux countries. 'Steve + Sky' is a clearly recognizable Belgian film and that calls for music that is also close to home. This was a new challenge to the Dewaele brothers and they made a commitment from the outset to keep a close eye on the editing and the sound mixing process. Their trusted 'cut-and-paste'-technique from 2 Many DJ’s came in handy for this project. Besides, a Belgian/Dutch soundtrack guarantees quite a bit of variation, it’s a limitation that can have a liberating effect, according to Stephen. There should be room for old classics by TC Matic or Nacht Und Lebel, as well as for Marco Borsato's 'Dromen zijn bedrog' or young guns such as Psychogene from Brussels. Apart from these well-known and less well-known songs, a theme was also elaborated.
